DALLAS - Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Thursday that politics did not influence the decision to spend millions of dollars in stimulus money on little-used border checkpoints while passing over higher-priority projects.

- Flagwaver, you're right about them not getting paid enough for the work they do. Back in the 80s, my brother in law was a coal miner and at that time was paid about $22/hour but then the big non-union company Massey came in and took over a bunch of the mines and now these workers are hired …
